Name: Paige (6)
My daughter is a bright and bubbly 6-year-old who loves to read and draw. I wanted to create a room for her that reflected her style and personality. She helped pick the color scheme and together we designed and created a fun space just for her.
The biggest challenge in her room was working with very limited space. We live in a 1200 square foot house, which means our bedrooms are pretty small. I removed her large bookcase that was taking up valuable floor space and custom built wood shelves to house all her favorite books. To add personality to the room, I created a board and batten feature wall, which I painted Quiet Coral by Sherwin Williams.
Many of her accessories were purchased at Goodwill or found on clearance, like her gallery wall and storage boxes. The DIY pallet sign has special meaning to both of us. As a baby I would rock my daughter to sleep and sing "You are my Sunshine." It only felt right to create a custom sign for her that said "Hello Sunshine."
