With Fall just around the corner, we've noticed that we're itching to change up our home decor. Not really having the budget (or the time) to shop for anything new, we've been contemplating a seasonal furniture rearranging. Looks like Jessica beat us to the punch and transformed her living room by moving her furnishings around...
Often times, a safe bet for couch placement is against a wall but unfortunately, having such a large piece of furniture positioned next to a wall can make a room feel weighty and dense. We've always loved the look of a floating piece of furniture and just by positioning the couch in the middle of the room, it instantly feels open and airy. The same goes with an entertainment center. Before, Jessica's TV stand hugged the length of the wall which often makes a small space feel cramped. A simple switch to a vertical TV stand and positioning it on a diagonal makes the room appear larger and frees up an entire wall. We're also loving the cozy nook created by moving the couch--which also makes for extra seating room.
