Bill & Natalie's Serene Treetop Renovation

Bill & Natalie's Serene Treetop Renovation

Name: Bill and Natalie
Location: Jamaica Plain, MA
Size: 2250 sq ft
Years lived in: Owned 7 years

Peace is among the more ephemeral of spacial qualities — a fleeting moment captured, for instance, in 20-minutes of soft, yellow sunset washing across a bedroom wall. Peacefulness is something most of us stumble upon but, in Bill & Natalie's Jamaica Plain home, it seems every room was designed with peace in mind...

After a 7-month renovation, which included a full attic conversion into a master bedroom suite with rooftop deck, this artist and graphic designer duo have a delightfully serene place to call home. The clean lines of the furniture, the warm yet neutral color story, and the old bones of the house work together to create a distinctly contemporary yet easy and inviting feel. We love the unique touches like the stained glass window in the entryway, the antique Chinese cabinet in the guest bedroom, and the stunning, sailboat-inspired wood wall cap on the bedroom deck (above), finished with epoxy and varnish.

We'll have much more from Bill & Natalie's Jamaica Plain renovation in an upcoming before and after post — stay tuned!
