Color Clashing and Compromising

Color Clashing and Compromising

Yellow. Ah, yellow. The above picture makes our heart sing and all we can think about is "how can I create a similar but tinier look in our dining area?". But then we remember– the husband hates yellow. It takes a lot of convincing just to get the occasional hint of yellow into our home. We can guess what you're thinking, give up the husband and start a life long love affair with yellow. While that is tempting, the husband is quite handy and we have to admit that he's not the only one being stubborn. Although, he's the one that loves chartreuse…

...and we cringe at the sight of chartreuse. So what can you do when the other person you live with has a color clash with you? For a while, we were flat out disagreeing to have any hint of chartreuse or yellow in our house. However, we found that as long as we could compromise a bit then we could each have the occasional hint of our preferred color- easier said than done. We have a bedspread with yellow panels on it, he convinced us to buy some vintage chartreuse cushions, so far so good.

Have you ever had a color clash with someone you lived with? Did you compromise or did you stick to your guns?
