Crap: A Teen Book on How to Deal with Various Things

We have to admit, we first chuckled when we spotted this book -- but then we stepped back and thought it might actually be quite useful for your average teen. The book is Crap, by Erin Elisabeth Conley, Karen Macklin, and Jake Miller, and according to its subtitle it can show you, "How to deal with annoying teachers, bosses, backstabbers, and other stuff that stinks."

Our mother would not be fond of the title, but we think the teen in your life will appreciate the effort you are making by giving them a copy of Crap...

Available at Zest Books, an online store which specializes in "Teen Reads with a Twist", Crap can show your teen how to differentiate between good crap and bad crap; avoid crap and how to cope with it when it can't be avoided; as well as giving them craptastic quotes from Kurt Vonnegut and Machiavelli.

While the book may seem loud and full of bravado, its message to teens is to really take things in stride and appreciate the journey of adolescence.

(We don't think we've ever typed the word "crap" this much in our entire lives!)
