There seems to be a sinister unwritten rule governing the world of toys: the smaller and more numerous the pieces, the more often it will get played with. And then the pieces will migrate to every room in the house, awaiting a tender bare foot to meet the inevitable sharp plastic pointy thingy. I told you it was sinister. Here is a sewing project that will help to tame these terrible toys.

Ashley at Make It and Love It dreaded the thought of her daughter getting more Polly Pocket dolls (and all of their many tiny accessories) for Christmas. But being a crafting virtuoso, she avoided the obvious solution of saying they must have fell off of Santa's sled and instead created the perfect storage solution. These vinyl and fabric bags are a great example of practicality with a touch of pizzazz.

The clear sides eliminate guessing what goes where while the drawstring top keeps everything safely inside and Ashley's tutorial is versatile enough to be applied to bags of any size.
