For My Friend Who Is Always Losing His iPhone(s)

A friend of mine recently lost his iPhone (again) due to those darn so-skinny-they're-unintentionally-birth-control jeans. I said he had a few options: 1) buy some pants with actual pockets that can accommodate something larger than half a Tic-Tac, 2) start carrying a murse (man+purse), or 3) consider adding some sort of leash/strap so he could secure his very expensive device around his belt loops. Since I know he's fashionably inclined and isn't giving up his butthugger pants any time soon, I'm pointing him toward this solution from Japan...

The Netsuke for iPhone 5 is a small screw-in strap solution which harkens back to the days when even Americans were accessorizing their flip and candybar cellphones with charms, leashes, and other cellular accoutrements to standout from the crowds (the trend still lives strong in Asia where smartphone owners add "anti-dust" jewelry into the headphone jack). Partnered with a leather carabiner-style loop and a few friendly reminders, my friend's iPhone should have a better chance of staying with him and not disappearing off into the lost phone ether.
