If you've ever left your heart in San Francisco, maybe you should put a little piece of the city's iconic bridge in your apartment! Golden Gate Bridge Furniture Company produces furniture made from pieces of steel taken directly from the bridge back in the 1990s.

When lifelong San Franciscan Richard Bulan heard about the pedestrian guardrail being replaced on the Golden Gate Bridge back in 1994, he knew immediately the he had to have a piece of it. It turns out that 'piece' was a giant 12 foot long, 1,000 pound chunk of the famous bridge. Richard created a headboard for himself and before long Golden Gate Bridge Furniture Company was born.

In addition to the headboard, Richard now offers cocktail tables, coffee tables and lamps, all made from the very steel that once graced the bridge. Richard supplements his designs with small pieces of new steel, which he sources from American refineries and paints in the bridge's signature color.
