Chronic Snoozer? App Forces You to Walk to Wake Up

There are all sorts of tricks to prod non-morning types to wake up, like setting a super annoying alarm or placing your phone across the room so you have to get out of bed to turn off the alarm. But this Android app takes it a step further... literally: You actually have to get out of bed and walk around to turn off the alarm!

The Walk Me Up! Alarm Clock by Moosa Labs only stops ringing once you have taken a certain number of steps (predetermined by you in the app's settings as shown above). It uses the accelerometer in your phone to count the amount of steps you take, and you can't cheat simply by shaking your phone (we tried).

If you're really a stickler for waking up on time, you can even disable the snooze button under the app's nefarious-sounding "Evil Mode."

On the flip side, if you're having trouble waking up because you can't go to sleep at a decent hour, try some of these apps to help you fall asleep!

Click here to download the free Walk Me Up! Alarm Clock in the Google Play store or the $3.00 Pro version, which removes the ads.
