The hotel is classic mid century architecture with 10 rooms simply furnished with platform king beds, crisp white sheets, concrete floors and views of the pool. Two of the rooms come with full kitchens for a little extra. It's also close enough to Palm Springs that if you get deathly bored, you can make it there for a nice meal at the Parker and a movie.
Last time I came home wanting to throw away all my stuff so that I too could have this spare, modern, relaxed feel. I also tried the light yellow they had the room painted in my living room. Let's just say that it didn't work out. There's something about that desert light that plays tricks on colors.
