Kids' Passover Books

Kids' Passover Books

The Passover meal is guided by a text, the Haggadah. Give kids some holiday reading with their own Haggadot and other books about the holiday. Here are a few of my favorites.

1. Sammy Spider's First Passover by Sylvia A. Rouss, illustrated by Katherine Janus Kahn. Sammy Spider has an entire series of beautifully illustrated books where he drops in on the Shapiros to learn about Jewish holidays. Check out Sammy Spider's First Haggadah as well.

2. My Haggadah: Made It Myself by Francine Hermelin Levite. This activity book filled with coloring pages and stickers is perfect Seder entertainment for kids.

3. Pearl's Passover: A Family Celebration through Stories, Recipes, Crafts, and Songs written and illustrated by Jane Breskin Zalben. Pearl and her family have plenty of stories and activities to keep kids engaged for the entire holiday.

4. My First Passover by Tomie dePaola. This one has sweet and simple illustrations and explanations for the youngest seder participants.
