While it's not uncommon for lamps and desk lights to integrate other functions, a recent trend is the incorporation of charging station for tech accessories, creating an ideal "landing spot" for mobile devices.

Hodge Podge by Arik Levy
Spotted at the Maison & Object 2012 fair, the lamp+ design is by French designer Arik Levy for Forestier. Combining a lamp and USB charging station, Hodge Podge is indeed quite a mix-up of features. The bottom part is made out cork, providing a soft and safe spot to rest mobile devices while hooked up. There's even a smaller version of this lamp, which also adds an alarm clock.

T'Light Gadget-Charging Lamp
Combining LED lighting with a dock for your iPhone, the T'Light lamp aims to be at the center of all of your charging needs. It also comes with an additional USB port and a jack for charging laptops.

Multipot Table Lamp and Charger
While it's certainly not cheap, this lamp doubles as a bucket for all of your cords. When you light it up, it gives off an ambient glow that's reminiscent of a lantern. The lamp looks like a a pot for plants and you can rest your devices that need a charge on the top of it.
