New Girl's L.A. misfit friends are returning for their final season on Tuesday, April 10. [Spoilers ahead]

The ending last season was tough because we didn't know if we were saying goodbye forever or see ya later. Nick and Jess were kissing, Schmidt and Cece got pregnant, Winston is…Winston. It didn't leave me totally satiated, but I wasn't mad either. It was just kind of 'eh'. Lucky for us, the team gets one more shot to wrap it up the way they want.

With a new season may come a change up in Jess's room which is arguably the best room in the loft. (Will her and Nick finally, really move in together three years later?!) It's cute and quirky, epitomizing the leading lady.

Jane Shirkes, the set decorator said in Architectural Digest, "Liz [Meriwether] was very particular about Jess's bedroom and what that would look like. Since [Jess] taught science, we came up with the idea that she would collect sea pods. We also made it so it was filled with kind of crafty handmade things that either she had created or somebody else might have." Crafty, creative readers, this room is for you.

Color and color are the two pillars that hold this room up. Swathed in teal paint and filled with multihued pieces, it is a feast for the eyes. To keep your room from looking like Crayola threw up in it, choose colors that are secondary or tertiary, then go a shade or two lighter/darker. Another good way to keep the colors in check is to have them all relate to each other. The easiest way to do it is by using a multicolored duvet cover and picking colors for your furniture from that palette. Jess's bed is a great anchor for the room because her headboard is blueish grey (a neutral) and her duvet has a black ground (another neutral) with multicolored flowers.

For furniture, search Craigslist, Ebay, and your local antique shops to find pieces with character. If you're not having luck there, retailers like Ikea are great because they sell raw wood furniture that is quick and easy to paint or stain. If the furniture you're going to paint isn't raw wood, you've got some prep work to do. Luckily Apartment Therapy has great articles to help.

The wall art is very important. Jess has a couple gallery walls – one over the headboard and one over her desk. Shadow boxes are a great option to display treasures or hand-made pieces. Pressed flowers are easy to DIY. Crochet wall hangings would also make a fun additional to the space and add interest to a gallery wall so it's not all framed pieces. If you have a collection or some kind, display it on simple open shelving.

I hope for the final season they keep the gang centered in the loft because it really is a character in the show at this point (kind of the way the FRIENDS apartment was). But I will settle for at least getting a follow up novel to The Pepperwood Chronicles and more concrete rules to True American.
