With the resurgence of '80s style in the past few years, pastels have been having quite a moment at home. And while light colors will always have a place in our palettes, Pinterest is noticing that some bolder hues have been gaining in popularity recently.
In the company's 2018 Home Report released this week, bolder, deeper shades were gaining traction. And it's not all that surprising that they're popping up in more "real" homes these days, as darker hues have been popular in the design industry for their serious dose of drama.
Red, which is up 217% in likes and saves on Pinterest, is very on trend, at least according to Benjamin Moore; the paint brand named Caliente its 2018 Color of the Year.
