Repurposing: From Real Kitchen to Play Kitchen

Repurposing: From Real Kitchen to Play Kitchen

Most of us are probably guilty of buying too many toys for our kids. That said, toys and books do need to be replenished and refreshed from time to time to keep things interesting.

A good solution to the conundrum is to repurpose items you already own (and that might otherwise be headed to the donation pile). That's exactly what Julee of Warm Hot Chocolate accomplished recently when freshening up her daughter's play kitchen. Instead of purchasing more stuff, Julee looked in her own kitchen for supplies where she found some old spoons, wooden bowls, and a cutting board. To renew the items, she gave each a makeover with paint and paper. The result is a sweet and customized play kitchen like no other. For more details, drop by Warm Hot Chocolats.
