Steal This Idea: Paper Menus-Turned-Take-Away Bags

We're so inspired by Sunday Suppers, the Brooklyn-based cooking class that created these menus. Their table decorations are always stunning, and yet this particular idea is so simple, we're filing it away for a future dinner party—paper bag menus that guests could pop open and fill with a sweet summer treat for the ride home. See it below...

Casey Solomon and Karen Mordechai, the duo behind Sunday Suppers, piled a bunch of beautiful, sweet peaches in a crate and had everyone take a few as a favor.

We love this idea for so many reasons. First, how easy would it be to buy some inexpensive, brown paper lunch bags and write the menu on them? So simple, although we're sure our handwriting wouldn't be as lovely as the above.

And while we're not in the habit of giving favors to our dinner party guests, stacking some luscious, colorful fruit in a big bowl and handing it out feels so rich, even though it's a really humble gift. If you're just sending friends home with extra cookies or a container of leftovers, the bag could still serve as a nice reminder of a fun evening.

We'd love to go home with peaches from a dinner party, wouldn't you? Perfect for breakfast.
