What's That Smell?

What's That Smell?

Your nose knows. Scent is a peculiar thing, certain odors can instantly propell you back to your 3rd grade summer camp (what is that plant and why does it smell so good?) or the hotel room you stayed in in Barcelona with your first real boyfriend. Smell can also propell you right out of a room if it's a bad one. And god knows in the summertime smells can get out of control real fast. Real Simple has some great tips listed for getting stinky odors out using things you probably already have in the house.

My favorite (and the one that solves something that has stumped me for ages) is using a cotton ball soaked with Vanilla extract to rub down the inside of your freezer to get rid of that weird freezer smell so that your ice doesn't get stale as quickly. I'm trying it this weekend becasue the bowl of baking soda is not doing the trick.

They cover getting musty odors out of clothes, out of pet bedding, and out of your basement (does anyone in LA have a basement). See the full list here.
